A concert dedicated to rarely heard works of chamber music by Polish-Jewish composers

 

Program:

Ignacy Waghalter (1881-1949) – Idyll for Violin and Piano Op. 19b

Mieczysław Weinberg (1919-1996) – Sonatina for Violin and Piano Op. 46

Grzegorz Fitelberg (1879-1953) – Romance sans paroles for Violin and Piano Op. 11 no. 2

Artur Gelbrun (1913-1985) – Nigun and Dance for Violin and Piano

Roman Ryterband (1914-1979) – Souvenir d'un bal for Piano Left Hand

Maurycy Moszkowski (1854-1925) – Poland Op. 23 no. 4, Mazurka Op. 55 no. 1, Spanish Dance Op. 65 no. 2, and Hungarian Dance Op. 11 no. 3

 

The Performers:

The performers are members of the Polish Society of Chamber Musicians (SPMK), an active group of excellent young musicians who perform and educate around the world.
