Join us for a reception with photographer Nancy Baron, whose portraits feature Holocaust survivors who live in the desert regions around Palm Springs. Disturbed by the growing number of Holocaust deniers, Baron was moved to document and celebrate the last generation of survivors who witnessed the atrocities of World War II. The photographs capture the wisdom, humor and resilience of the subjects.
Born in Chicago, Nancy Baron is now based in Los Angeles and Palm Springs. Her fine art documentary photography includes portraits, landscapes, and architectural photographs.
Baron’s prints have been exhibited in group and solo shows internationally and are held in public and private collections. Her photography has been published in notable magazines and newspapers worldwide, including The New York Times, Madame Figaro, W Magazine, Architectural Digest, Conde Nast Traveler, Fast Times, Mother Jones, and on CNN and BBC.
